20 October 2004

Bought myself a shiny new scanner, an Epson Perfection 2580 Photo, and used it to scan in the covers for the comics I bought last Thursday; a subdued ending in The Authority: More Kev 4, a huge telephone book of a comic in Bone: One Volume Edition, I shan't read Metal Gear Solid #1 until I've actually played the game, and Nightmares & Fairy Tales, Issue #10 is like Beauty and the Beast, only meaner. Done gone made the Bone and Metal Gear Solid pages too!

Just the one new comic, Kabuki Vol. 7 No. 2.

29 August 2004

Two new comics, and four really old ones; The Authority: More Kev 3 and Popbot book six, then Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal #1, Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal #2, Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal #3 and Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal #4 in a £2 fit of nostalgia.

22 August 2004

A whole bunch of time ago (about a week) I got some shiny new comics. They were Flight Volume One and also Wigu Volume One: The Bravest Boy In The World, Wigu Volume Two: The Luckiest Boy In The World and Wigu Volume Deux: Behind the Scenes. Flight and Wigu pages made accordingly. Also, I have recently got a whole bunch of comic related toys, so I shall probably put those on here sometime. And I'll get around to selling old comics on eBay too, as soon as my account is imbued with selling abilities.

1 August 2004

The long awaited Kabuki Vol. 7 No. 1 and Planetary #20 are now mine.

What I do now.

I am twenty-two years old now, which is nice. The photograph on the left, which was taken earlier today, is how I look. I live in London with my girlfriend. I go to work four days a week and play the other three.

All of the comic books that I buy, I put the details of them in this here comic book library. However, some comic books, I bought them long ago, and have since re-acquired in graphic novel form, or would like to do so. Therefore, original issues of Kabuki, Preacher, Planetary and Transmetropolitan (those last two signed by Warren Ellis himself) will soon be eBayed. If you are interested, let me know.

All of my old sites are polished off and online, save the old weeklies, which, until I get around to recoding them, you can read, minus original formatting, right here. My lady friend has turned her website into her portfolio, and Michael now runs tzuka.com himself.

And a new splash page is here at last, illustrated by my lady friend, of a pretty money box into which pound coins are put for a reason I do not yet know why.

24 July 2004

Four new comic books; The Authority: More Kev 2, The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist #3, Lenore #11 and 100 Bullets: Samurai. A new front page too.

3 July 2004

Some new books; The Authority: More Kev 1, The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist, The Filth, Global Frequency 12, Anarchy For The Masses: The Disinformation Guide To The Invisibles, Nightmares & Fairy Tales, Issue #9, Preacher: Ancient History and Slab III. Some new title pages; The Escapist, The Filth and Slab.

4 June 2004

I got a new computer on 10th May, a shiny new eMac, and so I finally update this comic book library. Also bought a couple of comics a few weeks ago, The Bad Art Collection and Ministry of Space No. 3, made The Bad Art Collection title page also. And I re-read all of Dark and Popbot, seeing as I'd only read them as and when I bought the individual issues. Dark is purty, as is Popbot, and I look forward to reading the next issues of both. For more on Dark, go to its very own website. That is all for now.

24 April 2004

I bought a few new comics I don't even remember how long ago. They were; Daredevil Vol. 8: Echo - Vision Quest, Nightmares & Fairy Tales, Issue #8, Planetary #19 and Popbot book five. Daredevil page made also. That brings my total number of comic books, trade paperbacks and original graphic novels to exactly 700. Hot dog.

4 March 2004

A couple of new books, Dark Part Three and Wildcats Version 3.0: Full Disclosure. And I finally changed the site's date format from American to British.

21 February 2004

Squee is mine, thanks in part to the unfortunately unrealised potential appearance of Jhonen Vasquez at Gosh! last week. I make title page too.

31 January 2004

Bought these three comics just yesterday; Global Frequency 11, Nightmares & Fairy Tales, Issue #7 and Planetary #18.

11 January 2004

Megasad Ticks.

Since starting my full-time job back in April last year, I have spent less and less time working on my websites. Not for any real reason, as I have every weekend free and my girlfriend works Saturday and Sunday, but more because I've been too lazy. Instead, I have spent an inordinate amount of time reading about Apple Macs, reading online comics... Reading and looking and consuming, but very little creating.

Well, not quite. I still maintain Michael's band site, T'Zuka, and last June I helped my girlfriend get started with her own website. But, very little has been done with Megasad proper. I have had plans, for some time now, or at least nebulous ideas floating around in the space between my brain and skull... But, nothing that I have followed through on.

Back In November last year, my computer exploded, the external hard drive backup too, but I have managed to salvage it, and so nothing was lost. Still about 40% of the way through what I wanted to finish before I started anything new, and so I think shall plow on with that. Hell, if I only organised my time properly, I could be finished within two months...

That's all for now.

11 January 2004

Nearly four months? Ha ha, I am back on form!

Anyway, I bought a bunch of comics a little while ago, and they were; Astronauts in Trouble: Master Flight Plan, Heavy Liquid 1, Heavy Liquid 2, Heavy Liquid 3, Heavy Liquid 4, Heavy Liquid 5, Planetary #17, Preacher: Gone To Texas, Preacher: Until The End Of The World, Preacher: Proud Americans, Preacher: Dixie Fried, Preacher: War In The Sun, Preacher: Salvation, Preacher: All Hell's A-Coming, Preacher: Alamo, Red 3, Sidekicks: The Transfer Student, Sei: Death & Legend, Vol. 1 #1, THB: Mars' Mightiest Mek #1, THB 6a, THB 6b, Trigun #1 and Y: The Last Man 15. As some of those were from titles I'd never bought before, I made the appropriate pages for Astronauts in Trouble, Heavy Liquid, Sei, Sidekicks, THB and Trigun.

Something new, soon.
